Couple featured in ‘Town & Country’

Congratulations to one of our wedding couples, Harlan and Brian from New York City, featured in the September 2006 issue of ‘Town & Country’, and whose wedding also enjoyed a write up in the ‘Palm Beach Daily News.’ Both publications ran one of our color shots of the beaming couple resting along the seawall at The Breakers.

Brian & Harlan gave us a challenge when they said get ready for a bridal party of 22 people and nearly 300 guests! We gulped hard, then accepted the assignment, which resulted in the studio adding the ‘Lifepics’ online service. Now all digital wedding photographs are available for online review and shopping by family and friends at a password-protect site -- a great benefit for destination wedding couples.

Pennsylvania journalists tie knot at Colony

You know your clients are serious about wedding photojournalism when that couple are also two journalists: Jamie, a public relations account executive in Pennsylvania, and George, an on-air reporter at an NBC affiliate station, met as journalism students at the University of Maryland. The two were married this spring at the historic Colony Hotel and Cabana Club in Palm Beach on the fifth anniversary of their first date.

Jamie grew up in South Florida and had envisioned an outdoor wedding with beachside photos, which on this occasion we did at the end of the day following a morning exchange of vows poolside and reception in the hotel Pavilion. The couple were also were serious ballroom dancers.

Jamie later wrote us: "We both felt strongly about allowing pictures to tell the story of our day as it unfolded, rather than simply posing for the camera," Jamie said. "And we didn't hire a videographer -- Tom really became our videographer, too. By watching the photos on DVD, you really get an awesome sense of what happened every step of the way. We wish we could go back and do it all over again, but the photos are the next best thing!"

We hope you enjoy viewing these images as much as we enjoyed creating them!

Congratulations to 2006 wedding couples!

The studio wishes to say Thank You to our 2006 winter, spring and summer couples for the opportunity to photograph so much style, energy, spontaneity, spirit and fun on display at some 27 weddings since last December.

This year, we shot a lot of destination weddings for couples traveling to the Miami, Lauderdale and Palm Beach County areas, with many of the events held beach-side, at resort hotels, private homes and churches -- from The Breakers, to The Palms to The Eden Roc and the Morikami Japanese Gardens.

Most of our destination newlyweds live in the New York area, and 2006 could not have been so exciting without you. We were also pleased to have so many Jewish (and interfaith) wedding ceremony couples. Suddenly I was talking a lot about Ketubah-signings, the Huppah, the Hora, and the Krenzl. We had fun snapping away at the lively Cuban, Israeli and Russian ethnic and religious traditions, music, food & dance during the weddings & receptions.

Finally, a special word of appreciation for my team of outstanding photographer colleagues who contributed their vision and energy alongside me as second photographers at many of the events.
